Up and Coming
We currently have two feature films in development, both related to what contemporary psychiatry classifies as ‘personality disorders’. Both films are fictional but based on extensive research and case study material.
In their exaggeration, extremity and malfunction, personality disorders offer profound insight into how our minds work – pragmatic realism extends into desperate cynicism, reasonable suspicion into paranoia, self-respect into unchecked narcissism.
THE FACES THAT YOU MEET
One small mistake during a violent tiger kidnapping leads to a hunt for an insider at a deposit box company. Both a tense crime drama and a precise, non-judgemental study of the psychology of narcissism, The Faces that you Meet is more why they done it than who done it. The why is a complex one, taking us deep into the mind and imagination of a troubled young man. The title, taken from a poem by T.S. Eliot, reflects the film’s focus on hidden psychological distress and echoes a key line from the film: ‘You work with people for years, you think you know them, maybe you’re just used to looking at their faces’.
INSURANCE
After years adrift undercover, a young police officer loses perspective when he enters the orbit of a psychopathic armed robber. Insurance is a heart-stop heist movie and a searching examination of the ‘anti-social’ view of the world.
Completed projects
Our first film was a no-budget feature starring Paul Nugent and Anna Nugent. Reputation is about a disgraced legal whistle-blower’s fight for justice while struggling with a rare mental illness. The film was released in May 2025. Click on the image below to visit the movie website.
